Observability-Based Information Fusion Autonomous Navigation Algorithm

On the basis of the observability analysis,an autonomous navigation algorithm in the earth-lunar transfer orbit is proposed in the paper. The outputs of ultraviolet sensors, including the earth centric direction and the selenocentric direction, are used as observations.First, the transfer-orbit is divided into some segments. In each segment, observability is calculated for the above two kinds of measurement models, respectively. Then, according to the results, the fuzzy logic system and the information fusion technology are used to optimize measurement model in transfer-orbit.The extended kalman filtering algorithm is further used to determinate probe orbit.Simulations for a lunar probe example demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed autonomous navigation algorithm.
