A Visualization Technology of Electromagnetic Environment Based on the Parabolic Equation Method

Electromagnetic environment visualization is increasingly important to modern warfare. A novel visualization technology of electromagnetic environment based on the parabolic approximation solution of electromagnetic field wave equation is proposed in this chapter. The key technologies, including electromagnetic data calculation based on PE method, visual representation modeling of spatial electromagnetic data based on a system of polar coordinates, mapping of spatial visualization structure, and rendering method of electromagnetic environment are discussed. Finally, an application example is presented to show that the proposed method can effectively provide multiple visualization effects of the electromagnetic environment.
