Hawthorne revisited . and, Relay assembly testroom participants remember : Hawthorne a half century later

The Hawthorne Experiments are among the most well-known experiments ever conducted in the field of management and social research. The data from the experiments have been reinterpreted and misinterpreted and the conclusions have been both praised and criticized. In this study five of the original participants in the experiments were interviewed in order to clarify some of the events and to answer many of the questions researchers have expressed concerning the methodology and conclusions of the experiments. Although half a century has passed since the research was performed, Theresa Layman, Wanda Blazejak, Geraldine Sirchio, Mary Volango, and Don Chipman had vivid memories and provided the author with valuable insights about the Hawthorne Experiments.
