Big Data, Small Data, and Getting Products Right First Time

Data in its various shapes is the foundation of Industry 4.0 and has become a critical component for many aspects of advanced manufacturing. The term Industry 4.0 encompasses a broad set of technological, organizational, and societal changes along the entire value chain of industrial corporations. Industry 4.0 promises to shorten development cycles and improve flexibility and the ability to customize products while benefiting from higher efficiencies.
