Coronary Vessel Wall Imaging

Introduction: MR coronary angiography using white-blood techniques provides familiar angiographic views, which are useful for rapidly locating lesions along the course of a vessel [1,2]. These techniques rely largely on fat suppression for vessel contrast, with some additional inflow contrast, but much less than in ungated short-TR angiography. These contrast mechanisms suggest that the vascular wall may contribute in part to the angiogram.
