Sun shading device provides an opportunity to control natural lighting, ventilation and solar gain, which provide a benefit to the overall building performance. However, if a sun shading device is not chosen properly, it might not enhance the daylight quality that benefit the building occupants. The study is to assess and compare the impact of different internal shading devices on the light intensity in individual office room. Two types of internal blinds are chosen, i.e. the venetian and the roller types. The result shows that the venetian blind provides better average indoor illumination level compared to the roller blind.
