A Design of Low Power, High Capability GNC System of Micro Unmanned Aerial Vehicle

*† Micro unmanned aerial vehicle (MUAV) has already displayed its vast range of prospects in military applications as a new type of strategic and tactical weapon. MUAV has small capacity and low energy carrying ability, therefore, a GNC (guidance navigation and control) system with small volume, low power and high capability becomes the key point of micro unmanned aerial vehicle design. This paper described a design of a GNC system with these characters which can be used in micro unmanned aerial vehicle. The whole GNC system is only about 300gram and its power cost is only about 4W. But the precision of its attitude can achieve ° 1 , and the precision of position can achieve 10m. Experiments proved that this GNC system can reach the requirement of MUAV properly.
