Realization of CAD Based Network Distributed Virtual Assembly Environment

This paper proposed cad based distributed virtual assembly environment to resolve the problem of collision detection and real-time response of components in a complicate assembly model.In master computer,constructing a time table about accurate collision detec-tion of the part mates in assembly model,getting the part mates and their total time by boundary volume rapid collision detection method,assigning part mates to slave computers by greedy algorithm;Making use of TCP/IP to transfer data,CAD slave computers calculate accu-rate collision detection of the part mate,master computer get the results from slave computers through cad network,time consuming is consumedly reduced to satisfy real-time response,this method has successfully been applied to bulk cargo shiploader simulation.
