U.S. army future E-O family of support equipment

Santa Barbara Infrared (SBIR) is developing a family of support equipment based on the U.S. Army's Future E-O system, a key component of the Next-Generation Automatic Test Station (NGATS). These electro-optical (E-O) test systems are scalable to meet the varying test and diagnostic needs at factory, depot and field maintenance levels. The family shares an open-system modular architecture that enables calibrations to be updated in the field and Test Program Sets (TPS) to be rapidly created. The resulting family of test systems provides great flexibility and low cost-of-ownership, while supporting an extremely wide range of infrared, visible, and laser testing. Systems can be configured for off-system testing of full E-O targeting control systems, such as the Improved Bradley Acquisition System (IBAS), or greatly simplified to support the reduced testing needs of Thermal Weapons Sights. The test systems are all controlled using IRWindows™, providing consistent TPS and user interfaces across the family, along with access to the extensive existing library of IRWindows™ automated test modules.
