OXYGEN-BROADENING COEFFICIENTS OF FIRST OVERTONE NITRIC OXIDE LINES

Abstract Oxygen-broadening coefficients have been measured for nitric oxide lines in the first overtone band. No direct measurement is possible because of the quick decomposition of NO in the presence of O 2 . A general method has been set up to obtain collisional widths from FT spectra when the experimental conditions, inside the absorption cell, have varied during the recording of the interferogram. This procedure was applied to the determination of the NO collisional widths in the presence of O 2 .
