Kinematic chains with independent loops and spatial system groups

A new structural synthesis of mechanisms is studied based on the spatial system group classification. New spatial system groups of different families with one, two, and three independent loops are presented. Several structure configurations of system groups with the same number of independent loops can be obtained for a given family. The advantage of the analysis of spatial mechanisms based on the system group classification lies in its simplicity. The solution of mechanisms can be obtained by composing the partial solutions of system groups.
