Optimal design approach for linear tubular machines

An optimal design approach of linear tubular switched reluctance motors is reported. Firsts parameterized sizing and design models are developed. Their accuracy is proved in comparison to practical tests carried out on a prototype. Second, the models are implemented in an optimal design loop delivering as final output optimized geometries of linear tubular machines with respect to imposed mechanical steps and initial thrust forces.
