GTAP-E: An Energy-Environmental Version of the GTAP Model

GTAP-E is an extension of the standard GTAP model. This document describes how the GTAP-E model is constructed. The method used in constructing (this version of) the GTAP-E model is a ‘modular’ approach, i.e. one needs to go through the latest version of the standard GTAP model and block out some parts which are going to be replaced by the GTAP-E modules, then insert the modules at the end. The modules are designed in such a way that they can be modified or extended independently of the GTAP model, i.e. mostly ‘self-contained’.
