Improving connections provisioning in hybrid immediate/advance reservation WDM networks

We study a dynamic WDM network supporting applications with immediate and advance reservation (IR/AR) requirements. To diminish the adverse effect of AR on IR connection provisioning, we propose scheduling strategies able to significantly reduce IR blocking probability.
