Heat transfer plays a vital role in many engineering applications, particularly, in process industries. In this work heat transfer co-efficient during turbulent heat transfer to slurries in a jacketed, agitated vessel was studied using statistical method The slurry taken for this work was water with saw dust. Two types of agitators namely, pitched blade turbine agitator and flat blade turbine agitator were used in this work.
