Recently, the waste recycling has been emerging a very important
subject for economic concerns as well as for the environmental
protection. Substantial amounts of the printed circuit board scraps
(abbreviated PCB), according to one estimate, amount to a million to
two million ton per year in Korea. Current practice for this waste
is shipment to waste land disposal facilities. This study is aimed
to present the fundamental data for the possible use of the PCB
scrap to fine aggregate. The fine aggregates were replaced 0, 3,
6, 9 percent by glass fiber from PCB scrap for measuring the compressive,
tensile and bending strength of the hardened state and fresh state.
