Databases, everyone!: customizable animations with self-assessment: tutorial presentation

Databases are a tool used in many disciplines for the storage and retrieval of information. It is therefore reasonable to include a course or some modules on database principles in settings other than the typical upper-division offering to computer science majors. This tutorial will cover pedagogy that supports the integration of two animations that use a dynamic presentation to introduce students of many majors, not necessarily only technical ones, to relational database concepts (http://databasesmanymajors.faculty.asu.edu).
