Sparsity-oriented hybrid formulation of linear multiports and its application to harmonic analysis

A simple and efficient algorithm is presented that takes advantage of sparse matrix techniques and can be used in any practical problem requiring the formulation of hybrid equations to describe the operation of a multinodal system. The algorithm is used in analyzing harmonic power flow in the (multi) harmonic domain, a problem of formidable size requiring great computational efficiency. The computational time required for the global iterative process has been reduced by a factor of 30 times compared to the explicit hybrid solution. >
