Information fusion method for fault diagnosis

An overview of the fault diagnosis method based on information fusion is presented.Firstly,the basic theory of information fusion and the relation between information fusion and fault diagnosis are introduced briefly.Then some methods of information fusion for fault diagnosis including Bayesian theory fusion,fuzzy theory fusion,evidence theory fusion and integrated information fusion are discussed.The characteristics and limitations of these information fusion methods for fault diagnosis are analyzed.Finally,the main development trend of information fusion method for fault diagnosis is given.
