New reduced-order observer with parameter adaptation for flux estimation in induction motors

The authors present a novel reduced-order observer with parameter adaptation for fast rotor flux estimation in induction motors. The observer is based on the current model of the induction motor represented in field-oriented coordinates. The theoretical principles of the developed algorithm are discussed. Some results of comparative investigations are presented which illustrate the steady-state and dynamic properties of the speed control system with observer and conventional current model.<<ETX>>
