IT in science in the national curriculum

An investigative and exploratory approach to learning science is emphasised in the National Curriculum. This paper discusses the role of Information Technology in encouraging the methods of inquiry suited to this approach. It illustrates how the use of generic software for data-logging and data handling can permeate a broad range of science topics and fulfill the requirements of the National Curriculum for Information Technology capability.
