Response of an articulated tower to loads due to wave slamming, wind and Coriolis acceleration

In a previous paper [I], the stochastic response of a two degree of freedom articulated tower in the ocean was investigated. The governing coupled differential equations of motion are highly nonlinear, and have time-dependent coefficients due to fluid forces and geometrical nonlinearities. The tower's average response was evaluated for uniformly distributed random fluid constants, friction coefficient, and current direction. In this paper additional terms due to wave slamming loads and earth angular velocity (Coriolis force) are added to the equations of motion. The equations are then solved numerically.
