Comparative Analysis of Scheduling Algorithms in Cloud Environment

The network connected devices for storing, managing and processing data from the client or remote servers are termed as cloud computing. The cloud model can be described as the on demand network access to shared pool structured data that can deliver and discharge minimal effort or service provider intercommunication. The two most notable problem in cloud computing are resource scheduling and energy consumption. Many algorithms attempt to solve the optimization of resource scheduling and efficient energy consumption task. Though there are distinct schedulers, these scheduling approaches have to be adapted for the changing environment and their considered task. This paper focuses on the comparative analysis of various scheduling techniques used in cloud environment for optimization of energy and computing resources. The comparative analysis proves that minimum energy consumption of servers can be achieved by efficient scheduling of workload in the data center.
