Valve-Closing Optimization for Pipe Burst in Water Supply Network based on MO

The application of Geograpfic Information System(GIS) has improved the city's water supply network management level tremendously.However,due to the imperfection existed in the analysis function of the valve-closing for pipe burst currently in this system,some of the valves which can still work were closed,and thus widened the demanding influence of the water supply.The VB + MO-based water pipe network geographic information system,which analyses the control and connection relationship between two valves or between valves and sources through the topological relationship of node data and breadth-first search traversal algorithm,eliminates the valves with no need to shut down,drawing an economic and efficient optimized off valve plan.
