Among the modern requirements for complex object control simulators is to provide the properties of adaptability, flexibility, extensibility, reliability, security and reconfigurability. The use of semantic description as one of the ways to solve the problem of increasing adaptability and efficiency (productivity, reliability, security, reconfigurability) in the development of simulators with human-machine interfaces (HMI) is currently in the field of vision of leading researchers and software producers. The method of creating simulators based on the use of a semantic description of models of objects and processes under conditions of uncertainty is considered. For the semantic description, the developed probabilistic methods and tools for the automated formation of dictionaries, thesauruses, ontologies and knowledge bases have been applied. Intelligent simulators can be used to test software for complex systems of automated control and management of complex objects. The simulators can also be used for research and educational purposes.
