According to the method, in the process in which a donor evolved node B DeNB of a mobile relay node MRN is switched, the mobile management entity MME of the MRN judges whether relocation of a gateway serving the MRN needs to be implemented according to the current position of the MRN. The problem of judging whether or not to implement gateway relocation in the MRN switching process is solved, routing optimization is enabled to be implemented smoothly, and delay of UE data and signaling is shortened.
