CWDM-Based Switching Network Design for High Vision Real-Time Transmission

This paper describes a Real-Time Transmission &Switching System design for High Vision (High Definition Video) signal. The system uses ten CWD Mwavelengths simultaneously to transmit two pairs ofHDMI video signals over a distance of 10km. It canalso switch to stations at up to 16 different sites. A 4CWDM wavelength test bed operation has confirmedthat the system works. The system has the advantage ofthe shortest possible time delay for High Vision signaltransmission at a reasonable cost.
