An enhanced dynamic multilevel protocol (EDMP) for WSN

WSN has become increasingly popular due to their wide range of applications. The sensor nodes are battery energetic with limited battery. In order to decrease the consumption of energy, scheduling of different packet type is of significant importance. Scheduling of packets helps in determining which packet should be serviced and manages the queue of packets. In this paper, an enhanced dynamic multilevel protocol (EDMP) is proposed which uses DMP queue. The EDMP protocol works on the concept of routing data packets based on priority. The concept of priority becomes important when emergency information needs to transmitted. This improves the Quality of Service (QoS), maximizing network lifetime and tracking the energy consumption.
