Sliding mode fault-tolerant control for switched systems with disturbance and faults

In this paper, the issue of the switched systems with external disturbance and actuator /sensor faults is studied. A new second-order sliding mode fault-tolerant control method is proposed. Firstly, a disturbance observer is designed on sliding mode method to estimate the states and faults. Then, the second-order sliding mode fault-tolerant controller is presented according to the disturbance observer, in which the second-order discrete-time adaptive sliding mode function is designed for fault-tolerant control, external disturbance and actuator fault. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed method is verified by the simulations results.
