The Performance Estimate for Biopotential Amplifier

The biopotential signals are usually tiny compared with the clectromagnetic signals generated from the electrical equipment commonly used in daily life. Therefore the biopotential measurement is easily degenerated due to the external interference. For the reasons, many researches have been devoted to the external interference suppression techniques. However, the intrinsic noise of a measurement system is another factor to have a good-quality biopotential measurement. As the signal level for bioelectric events is very small and the resolution of a measurement system into consideration. From the equivalent circuit model of a biopotential measurement system. an effective equation is deduced to describe the noise and the external interference contribution from the measurement system, and the performance of the designed biopotential amplifiers can thus be easily estimated. keywords:Noise, Biopotential amplifier
