Interferometric determination of the refractive index of carbon dioxide in the ultraviolet region

Abstract We have measured by Fabry-Perot interferometry the refractive index of carbon dioxide between 1807 and 2537 A and compared our results with those obtained by extrapolation of dispersion formulae proposed by other authors and those calculated from our dispersion formula. We propose a new dispersion formula which corroborates with the oscillator strength values found in the literature.
