Generalized ID-Based ElGamal Signatures with Message Recovery

Signature schemes with message recovery provide the feature that the message is recoverable from the signature and hence does not need to be transmitted separately. Recently a number of ID-based signature schemes with message recovery have been proposed. In this paper, we introduce the generalized ID-based ElGamal signatures with message recovery. The previously proposed ID-based signature schemes with message recovery turn out to be special instances of this generalized scheme. We also obtain several new ID-based signatures with message recovery from this generalized scheme which have not been explored before.
