Small target trace acquisition algorithm for sequence star images with moving background

A target trace acquisition algorithm for sequence star images with moving background is put forward to detect the discontinuous trace of a small space target with high accuracy.A cross projection method is used to extract stars and acquire target area.Then,the centroid of a group of brightest stars in sequence images is used to estimate the global moving parameters.Finally,a target trace acquisition method is presented.The simulation experiment is carried out with two small targets in 16 frame sequence sky images(8-bit gray scale image).The results of trace acquisition show that the algorithm can detect the traces of two targets with high accuracy,and can provide a robust way for the trace acquisition of small targets with discontinuous trace.
