Molecular Recognition of Long Dicarboxylate/Dicarboxylic Species via Supramolecular/Coordinative Interactions with Ditopic Receptors. Crystal Structure of {[Cu(2)L(H(2)O)(2)] supersetPimelate}(ClO(4))(2).

Molecular recognition of pimelate, hydrogen pimelate, and pimelic acid has been achieved in different and contiguous pH ranges via supramolecular and/or coordinative interactions with a macrocyclic ditopic polyazacyclophane and its mono- and dinuclear CuII complexes.
