Reduced lateral leakage losses of TM-like modes in silicon-on-insulator ridge waveguides

We numerically investigate the lateral leakage losses of TM-like modes in silicon-on-insulator ridge waveguides and propose a novel ridge waveguide structure with low leakage losses over a wide wavelength range.
