Simulation and Estimation of End-to-End Delay of Fiber Channel Network in Avionic System

The avionic system using Fiber Channel(FC) network with single switch was described and a queuing model was built up for the network.According to M/G/1 model of Queue Theory,parameters of queue length,service time and so on of this avionic system were analyzed and estimated.Four kinds of fiber channel networks with different node numbers were simulated with OPNET.With the simulation results,the relationship of end-to-end delay with node number in fiber channel network was analyzed,and the mathematic model was amended.The "jitter" of end-to-end delay was also studied,and the time needed for each kind of FC network to become stable was analyzed.
