A Robust Data Hiding Algorithm for H.264/AVC Video Streams without Intra-frame Distortion Drift

This paper presents an improved H.264/AVC data hiding method based on without Distortion Drift technique and BCH syndrome coding technique. The without Distortion Drift technique in this paper is that we exploit several paired-coefficients of a 4 × 4 DCT block to accumulate the embedding induced distortion and use the directions of intra-frame prediction to avert the distortion drift. The BCH syndrome coding technique is that we encode the embedded data by BCH coding before hiding data. The experimental results show that this new robust data hiding algorithm can effectively avert intra-frame distortion drift, get higher visual quality and get more robust.
