Dynamic Loads Due to Torsional Vibrations within Turning System of Hydraulic Excavators. Part I. Analytical and Numerical Approaches

Torsional dynamic loads are taken by the transmission power flow from the hydraulic drive engine to the ring gear of turning platform. Thus, is necessary that both the design phase and the operational phase had taken into account the dynamic torsional requirements due to cyclic variations of working regime which induce vibratory loads in the chain of transmission of the slewing mechanism. The analytical method can be applied for some heavy machinery such as cranes and excavators, which have significant values of the mass moment of inertia for working equipment in respect with rotation axis.
