Optimal Reliable Guaranteed Cost Control for Uncertain Linear Systems

For a class of uncertain linear system, a more practical model of actuator faults than discrete fault model is considered. Optimal guaranteed cost reliable control with continual gain actuator fault is presented. Baseon LMIs, the sufficient condition of standard and reliable control existence are given. On the basis of convex optimize theory, the design method of optimal guaranteed cost reliable controller and standard controller are given. The design procedures are illustrated by a numerial example. Furthermore, the comparisons of the optimal guaranteed cost standard system and the reliable system show the necessity of reliable control.
