Estimating reversible pump-turbine characteristics

The monograph presents guidelines for designers who plan or maintain pump-turbine installations. Data are presented on recent installations of pump-turbines which include figures showing operating characteristics, hydraulic performance, and sizing of the unit. Specific speed, impeller/runner diameter, and the best efficiency head and discharge were selected as the criteria that characterize the unit performance.
