Almost Orthogonal Regular Types

Abstract Let p , q be non-orthogonal regular types over B , in a stable theory. We show that at most three parameters from p are needed to witness the non-orthogonality with q (ω) , and classify completely the situations in which two or three are in fact necessary; they are all classical. Partial results are obtained in the case when ω is replaced by a finite n .
