Active disturbance rejection control robustness simulative study

This paper describes simulations of the active disturbance rejection control (ADRC). Theoretical basics of the method are described in the first theoretical part. The method is than applied to the system described by the transfer function in the practical part. Robustness of the method is tested by varying the nominal system’s parameters, including disturbances in the control loop and non-linear relations in the system. On basis of the observation of ADRC capabilities a controller is purposed for water turbine power control. The controller capabilities are tested by transient process simulation and test of disturbance rejection capability.
