Constrictive pericarditis causing tricuspid stenosis.

Constrictive pericarditis produced tricuspid stenosis in a previously healthy 22-year-old white man with a chest mass. The interesting features relate to the rarity of isolated tricuspid stenosis, the rapid progression to constriction of an apparently acute benign viral pericarditis, and the production of tricuspid stenosis by constrictive pericarditis.
