A Rapid Application Switch Technique Based on Resource Cache

In order to accelerate application switch in embedded intelligent terminals,a rapid application switch technique based on resource cache is proposed.This technique designs a resource management framework with a resource proxy policy,which caches resource states when applications run in the background,and sets up a model to minimize the application switch time.The model is formulated as a Multiple-choice Multi-dimension Knapsack Problem and solved by RCABES and RCABHM algorithms in the paper.The experiment results show the RCABES algorithm can obtain the optimal solution with high computation complexity,while the RCABHM algorithm can find out a suboptimal solution in a short time,which is more suitable for embedded terminals to switch quickly between multiple applications.
