An efficient FDTD time‐domain equivalent currents method for safety assessment in human exposure to base‐station antennas in presence of obstacles

A methodology combining a time-domain equivalent currents method and the finite-difference time-domain technique is presented to analyze guidelines compliance in human exposure to electromagnetic fields from base-station antennas in the presence of large scattering obstacles. The efficiency of the method is demonstrated when analyzing the specific absorption rate in people exposed to those antennas. © 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
