Study on Common Features of Damp-Heat Syndrome in Rheumatism Based on Metabolomics

Objective To research the common metabolomic feature of rheumatism with damp-heat syndrome. Methods A metabolomic study of serum samples was conducted in 30ankylosing spondylitis(AS)patients with damp-heat syndrome,29 gouty arthritis(GA)patients with damp-heat syndrome and 44healthy volunteers by gas chromatography-time-of-flight mass spectrometry(GC-TOFMS).The Common difference metabolomics associated with damp-heat syndrome in AS patients with damp-heat syndrome and GA patients with damp-heat syndrome were compared with the healthy volunteers. Results Comparing with the healthy volunteers,α-hydroxy acid, phosphoric acid and mannose was significantly increased but ethanolamine was significantly decreased in AS patients with damp-heat syndrome and GA patients with damp-heat syndrome. Conclusion The common metabolomic feature of rheumatism with damp-heat syndrome may beα-hydroxy acid, phosphoric acid, mannose and ethanolamine.
