Laboratory Data Analysis System: Section VI—System Summary

A summary for the Laboratory Data Analysis System , which briefly capsulizes the important ramifications of each section of data processing, is provided. The key point is that such a system is a natural byproduct of a well-organized Medical Information System which collects and stores patient care information. This system is modular and attempts to provide a critical interface between the actual numeric finding on the laboratory instrument and the physician’s decision-making process. All analytic systems are well within our present laboratory computer capability and should extend the use and application of this machine.
