A Pilot Research on Sport application’s Usability and Feedback Mechanics

In today’s information society, the penetration of infocommunication devices are already decisive in all sectors, which also influences sporting habits and trends. The sport supporting tools and applications basically determine the everyday life of the sports fanciers and have a significant impact on the human cognitive processes. This paper presents eye-tracking as a methodology to measure these changes and the effect of the used gamification elements. Overall results from the pilot study showed that the method is suitable to get information about the usability differences between the lay and the experienced users.
