Research on and the application of the metadata-driven model supporting flexibility

While architecture-centered and component-based software development methodology ensures the stability for constructing large complex systems, the flexibility degree supported by the stable framework is critical to maintaining the vitality of such systems. Based on the analysis of the principles of the metadata-driven model, this paper discusses in detail the flexibility mechanism supported by the metadata-based flowchart control approach for the multi-layer behavior diversification control of layered architectures. Finally, a set of metadata tag rules for the supporting level of iCALL *R systems and an appropriate sample metadata file are established based on this principle.
