First record of Eustigmaeus jiangxiensis Hu, Chen and Huang (Acari: Stigmaeidae) from France with a key to the European species of Eustigmaeus Berlese, 1910

Abstract Eustigmaeus jiangxiensis Hu, Chen and Huang, collected from weeds in southwest France, is redescribed and illustrated. Eustigmaeus mineus Barilo, 1989, E. fani Dogan, 2005 and E. kentingensis Tseng, 1982 are suspected synonyms of Eustigmaeus arcticus (Wood, 1972) (= Ledermuelleria arctica Wood, 1972), E. rhodomela (Koch, 1841) and E. anauniensis (Canestrini, 1889), respectively. A key to the known species of Eustigmaeus of Europe is provided.
